Carmountside Crematorium and Cemeteries maintained by stoke on Trent CouncilCarmountside chapel was first opened in 1940 then in 1947 carmountside was opened as a cemetery. Situated in the main chapel is a large piped organ The chapel is dedicated not consecrated allowing religious and non religious services.
The chapel will hold 160 people sitting and 100 people standing and is surrounded by the most beautiful landscaped gardens including BUTTERFLY DREAMS. Butterfly dreams is set in the grounds of carmountside and is a burial grounds for babies and children. In this area there are large magnificent granite statues and a number of topiary trees shaped in many ways such as rabbits and toad stools This is a beautiful resting place and has won numerous awards. |
